Here's another project for my picture book course - illustrate the story of 'Three Blind Mice'. Drawing is fun. Drawing mice with sunglasses and scarves - even more fun.
Bob the Rabbit
If you like rabbits, children's books, and rough sketches, then this post is for you. As part the illustration course that I'm taking we were given the text for a story called Bob the rabbit, and were asked to create illustrations. Here's mine. They're pretty awesome.
Storybook Sketches
Individually, none of these sketches make much sense. Collectively, they make even less sense. Trust me, there is a rhyme and a reason to it all, even the elephant flying around in a cardboard box while hugging a catfish.
Year of the Monkey
During the 6 years that I lived in Hong Kong, I had the chance to witness a lot of Chinese New Years celebrations (about 6 of them). Anyway, here's my tribute to this year's animal in the Chinese zodiac - the monkey.

A Crab with a Straw
Last month I saw a crab running along the beach carrying a straw. It was incredible. Comments on the Land of Le Beef Facebook Page suggested he may have a can of Coke hidden away, or that he may be involved in some kind of crab jousting match. Whatever the case may be, it is clear that I need to do a whole series of cartoons with this crab and his straw.
