I'm having a baby! More specifically, my wife is having a baby!

That's right, this October I will be joining the ranks of fatherhood with the arrival of a baby girl. I assume that she will come out holding a sign that says "waaaaa", or that for her first words she will simply hold up a sign that says "da da". I'll keep you all posted.

Mother's Day

I recently watched a video about a cat in Ireland that adopted three baby ducklings alongside her own litter of kittens. I happen to be a BIG fan of unlikely animal friendships (as is evident from this previous post of mine), and I thought this would make for a perfect Mother's Day illustration. 

This one is dedicated to my mom, who as far as I know has never adopted any ducks, but is a beautiful and fantastic mother nonetheless.

I imagine it would take a long time to knock out a pillow, what with their faces being so soft and all. They probably wouldn't even need to wear padded gloves - they could each other directly in their cushy faces.

Now perhaps it may have been a bit obvious to take the bacon route, but sometimes you just have to follow your heart; and besides, who wouldn't want to see two excited pieces of bacon? Fo shizzle.

Evernote

I think it's time for another moment of gratitude, and today I would like to share my appreciation for Evernote - an app that helps me to organize pretty much every aspect of my life.

Between my professional photography business, my home life, and the Land of Le Beef, I have a lot of things to keep track of.  I have spent most of my life with random ideas written out on napkins, scrap pieces of paper, the back of envelopes, and wherever else I could find some free space, but now I have finally found a simple and intuitive way to keep everything in the same place, and easily access it from my phone, tablet, and computer.

Evernote - helping me achieve great things

One of the beautiful things about Evernote is that everyone can use it in their own way. Here are some examples of ways that I use it:

• Daily and weekly planner

• Track personal and professional goals

• Write blog posts (like this one)

• Keep tabs of my clients, products, prices, and other business related items

• Remember marketing ideas

• Make notes of any changes I want to make to my websites

• Organize the photography lessons that I offer

• Jot down ideas for cartoons

• Remember recipes that I want to try

• Keep a journal

• Plan different stages of projects that I am working one

• and a whole lot of other things
